At Pugs and Pals Devon, we are a family-run Dog Day Care Centre located in Lee Mill, Ivybridge. Having expanded from our home, we offer the best “love and care when you aren’t there.” Our aim is to provide a fun and loving environment where all dogs can thrive.
About Our Family
After 15 years in the Navy, Helen, the owner of Pugs and Pals Devon, and her wife, Hayley, were asked to look after a neighbour’s dog. This experience inspired them to obtain their dog boarding license. Their daughter, Taylor, arrived in 2021, and they started their business from their home in Ivybridge and went full-time in 2022.
Helen and Hayley have completed multiple courses with the Institute of Modern Dog Trainers (IMDT) to ensure they provide the best care in their area. They both work at the Dog Day Care Centre to offer continuous care for your dogs. Additionally, they have a pug named Betsy and a border terrier named Charlie, who loves the outdoors. Hayley has a passion for border terriers, while Helen adores pugs, which is reflected in the name of their business.

As a tight-knit, family-run business, we have other family members who work with us within the business, ensuring that they all contribute to our mission. Each of us is trained in canine first aid and has completed numerous relevant courses. Our primary goal is to provide a safe and enjoyable play area for all dogs, making life better for both pet and their owners.
